Owned and operated by the Town of Eagar, located at 115 N.
Butler Street, this park features a kitchen, large pavilion with four BBQ
grills, restrooms, and seating for 200 people. The town's goal is to
provide a community park that is physically and mentally stimulating for
citizens of all ages and physical abilities. In order to do this the Town
has added two new play areas, a concrete walking path with five workout
stations, four new ramadas (each ramada has a BBQ grill), a skate park/BMX
facility and a Serenity area with a gazebo. There are plans to add
shuffleboard and a horseshoe pit in the Serenity area as well. To ensure
this goal, children from the local schools, senior citizens, citizens at
large, and ADA organizations have been included in the planning. Funding
for the park was through grants, fundraisers, and by citizen participation
in the "Round-Up" program in the monthly water bills. Now the "Round-Up"
program is used for the care and up keep of the park and pool, for more
information contact the water department (928-333-4128).
The large pavilion,
kitchen and smaller armadas are available for rental by individuals or
groups. The rental fee is either $50, which includes use of the pavilion
and the kitchen or $25 for the pavilion only or ramadas. Rental is on a
first come, first served basis, so please call ahead to check availability.
Some dates are reserved years in advance. The pavilion and ramadas are
available for rental all year long. The kitchen at the park is only
available April through October. To schedule an event at the park please
contact Mary Nuttall at 928-333-4363.
The Eagar Arena and
Events Center is located at 7 South Hwy. 180. The arena provides a
wonderful place to hold rodeo and equine events as well as any type of
outdoor activity. It has been used for circuses, monster truck races,
rodeos, 4-H trials, team roping, barrel races, ATV Jamboree, and the site
for Eagar Daze. The Events Center, formally known as the "Blue Building",
is ideal for weddings, parties, dances, etc. To schedule these facilities
call the Town of Eagar at 333-4128 ext. 251. Click here for this year's schedule.
