Rick has served as the Town of Eagar's Chief Finance Officer for 9 years, having previously served for 5 years in the same capacity with the
Town of Springerville. Originally from Texas, Rick holds his Bachelor's
degree from Brigham Young University. His wife is a member of the Eagar
family, the original settlers to the region.
Accountant II- Katie Wood
Katie has served as the towns accountant for seven years. Katie
came from Show Low Arizona where she was born and raised. She is a mother
of seven and is constantly on the run.
Office Supervisor I- Stephanie Finch
Stephanie has been with the town for twelve years. She started as
a receptionist and over the years has showed a work ethic which has moved
her to the office supervisor. Stephanie came to Eagar as a
young girl She is a mother of three and this last year became a
grandmother. Housing Rehab Specialist I- Tracie Szlauko
Tracie has severed as the Housing Rehab specialist for one year.
She is the mother of three young children. Receptionist I-
Becky Thompson
Becky joined our group in February. Becky is a mother of two and
is very helpful in the office. She came from St. George, Utah in
2001.
Finance is responsible for the administration of new hookups and
utility payments. For information regarding new connections or bills,
residents may stop by Town Hall, or contact Accounts Payable Clerk
Stephanie Finch at 928-333-4128, ext. 224.

*Water and sewer deposits are refundable after two years. A co-signer
agreement for new applicants is also available through Town Hall. This
agreement allows the Town to waive some of the fees in exchange for a
guarantee of payment by an existing property owner in the Town with an
active hook-up.
 | The Town maintains a 24-hour on-call water and sewer
technician. During working hours, residents can contact for connection or
maintenance (such as a sewer backup) through Town Hall. After hours,
residents may dial 928-245-0547 for emergency service. Please note that
payment must be received before turn-on, and the resident must be at home
when the turn-on occurs. There is no fee for maintenance service. |
Payments
are made on a monthly basis, and can either be paid in person at Town
Hall, or through the mail. Water capital and Sewer Capital User Fees are added at a rate of
$1/thousand gallons of water and sewer, with a maximum cap of $10 per month.

Projects
 | With a HURF Exchange grant one mile on North Main Street
was resurfaced. The base of the road also had to
replaced. |
 | With User fees the water and sewer was upgraded on North Main
St. |
 | A five hundred gallon water tank was installed east of town and
5,100'of a 10" water line was installed to connect the water tank
to the system. |
 | Two wells were purchased |
 | Ramsey Park was almost completed. This project included a
skate park, four Ramadas, .walking path and two
playgrounds. |
 | The Housing Rehab group was able to replace six homes and refurbish
over forty homes in Southern Apache County not including the
reservation. |
From funds received from the Arizona Department
of Housing, Community Development Block Grant, and the State Special Project
Grant, there are three opportunities for owners in Southern Apache County
not including the reservation to get repairs for your home.
Priority will be given to:
* Those with the lowest income
* Person who are elderly
* Persons who are disabled
* Families with children under the age of
18
* Emergency Housing Rehabilitation – This is a $10,000
grant to be used for home rehabilitation. The only restriction is that these
funds cannot be used for weatherization issues only.
* Full Housing Rehabilitation – This is a $25,000
forgivable loan, which will be forgiven as long as you stay in the home and
meet the housing upkeep requirements.
* Replacement – If it is determined that your home
cannot be rehabilitated, and you meet all the requirements, then replacement
takes place. This is a $90,000 forgivable loan, which again is forgiven if
all requirements and upkeep are met.
To qualify for this program you must own your home and have an income at
